Tasty Vegan Pecan Pie Bars
As the temperatures are dropping, you need something that not only tastes good, but keeps you satisfied longer.
This vegan pecan pie bars are sure enough to keep you happy, and will be a great treat while you're taking part in the Great American Race, Turkey Trot or Nutcracker Race!
Ingredients:
- Pecans
- Rolled oats
- Almond flour
- Medjool dates
- Maple syrup
- Vanilla
- Cinnamon
1.Add rolled oats, pecans, almond flour, cinnamon, and salt to a food processor.
Process/pulse several times until a crumbled mixture is formed.
2.Add in the dates, water, and maple syrup.
Process until a dough is formed.
3.Move dough to a square dish and make the base. Don't forget to lay parchment paper down.
4.Evenly press the dough across the base of the dish.
Start by adding dates, water, and vanilla extract to a food processor.
5.Process until a smooth, caramel-like consistency is formed.
Apply thin layer of caramel to dough crust.
Evenly spread the caramel layer across the base of these no-bake pecan pie bars.
6.Crushed pecans on top of the caramel layer are place on top
Press the pecans into the caramel.
7.Finally place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
